I’m Anu Majhu, Founder and Lead Trainer at Yellowtail Dog Training. Based in Walthamstow, East London, I offer puppy classes, private dog training across London and personal online coaching throughout the UK.

Why I started Yellowtail

Yellowtail began with my own dogs and the difference they made to my life. They inspired me to help other people understand their dogs and build a relationship that feels rewarding at both ends of the lead.

The name also reflects an idea that matters deeply to me: giving dogs space. The yellow ribbon movement, promoted here by Yellow Dog UK, asks people to recognise when a dog needs more room. That principle helped inspire Yellowtail.

For me, it means making room for the individual dog — their personality, their needs and their pace of learning. We give them time to observe, opportunities to make choices and support to build confidence, without rushing every encounter.

My approach is science-based, positive and holistic, considering training, enrichment, health, nutrition and lifestyle together.

My training and qualifications

My qualifications include the Canine Coaching Accredited Diploma, the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) 4-Day Practical Dog Training Course and the Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor Course. I am also an Approved Canine Nutrition & Wellness Expert.
